Sharayah TalarovichChief Workforce and Risk OfficerSharayah has been a part of Hope’s team since 2011 and currently serves as our Chief Workforce & Risk Officer. With more than 11 years of experience in Hope’s human resources department, she held a variety of roles including benefits and compensation administration and the Director of Human Resources. In 2021, Sharayah's responsibilities expanded to include oversight of risk/insurance, internal audit, health information management/records, legal, and administrative functions. Sharayah holds HR professional certifications including a SHRM-SCP and SPHR. Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Science degree from Geneva College in Pittsburgh, PA, where she majored in Accounting and Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources Management. She also earned a Certificate of Leadership in Business Management from Wayland Baptist University and a Certificate of Nonprofit Management from the Foraker Group. Continuing her pursuit of knowledge and growth, she is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Information Management at the University of Washington. She chose this program because of her passion for how people, process, and technology intersect. In recognition of her outstanding work, she received the ‘Heart of Hope’ award in 2013 for successfully navigating Hope through the implementation of the Affordable Care Act for benefits administration and compliance. For Sharayah, serving at Hope has been a calling and a passion. Hope’s values, core purpose, and strong relationships are what keep her grounded and working toward better systems for employees and the people who choose our services. Sharayah grew up in Pennsylvania but also lived in Colorado working in HR roles in the hospitality and service sectors prior to moving to Alaska. When not at work, she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, and training for triathlons. |
