Kaleen HainesDirector of Business DevelopmentIn Kaleen's role as Director of Business Development, she brings more than 20 years of leadership experience across nonprofit, hospitality, recreation, and small business sectors, with expertise in organizational leadership, strategic planning, human resources, operations, and community engagement. Her professional background reflects a strong commitment to building sustainable organizations, supporting employees, and strengthening community partnerships. Kaleen’s connection to Hope began early in her career, where she served in multiple frontline and administrative roles, including HR Intern, Direct Support Professional, and Employment Support Specialist. Over time, she advanced into supervisory and senior leadership positions, including Community Support Supervisor and human resources leadership roles. In her current role, she leads strategic initiatives focused on organizational growth, sustainability, and community impact. Her responsibilities include identifying and developing new business, partnership, and program opportunities; leading cross-functional projects from concept through implementation; and collaborating with organizational leaders to align strategic goals with operational priorities. She also provides guidance on partnerships, revenue diversification, and long-term organizational development initiatives that support mission advancement and service delivery. Kaleen holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Alaska Anchorage and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Weber State University. She previously served on the Board of Directors for Turnagain Health Clinic and currently serves on the Finance and Development Committees for Alyeska Ski Club. Kaleen strongly identifies with Hope’s values of dignity, inclusion, and creating meaningful lives for the people the organization serves. She believes joy is found through connection, purpose, belonging, and the opportunity for individuals to fully experience life in meaningful ways. She also believes security and stability are foundational to helping people thrive within their communities. To Kaleen, being part of Hope means being part of something bigger than oneself, and she believes the organization’s work has a profound impact not only on the people Hope supports, but also on employees, families, and the broader community. Outside of work, Kaleen enjoys spending time with her husband, their three active boys, and two dogs. Family life keeps them busy with skiing, soccer, football, and many outdoor adventures. In her free time, she enjoys soccer, snowboarding, yoga, hiking, skiing, snowmachining, and traveling. |
