Materials Fee Agreement

At Hope Studios, we believe that self-expression through the arts can enhance the lives of everyone. It is the mission of Hope Studios to provide that opportunity and encourage self-expression. We accomplish this by providing an opportunity for people to try new art forms and open up avenues for their art to be seen in the local community. We provide the support necessary for participants to learn new skills and develop new interests.

All participants utilizing the Hope Studios workspace understand and agree to the following principals:

  1. The Studio believes in a collaborative creative method. This means that many different people, including other participant artists, volunteers, and employees, may work together on single pieces of artwork.  Additional information on the collaborative method is available and will be provided upon request.
  2. All artists are encouraged to attend public shows and art events in which Hope Studios presents their work. Many of these events include beautiful photographic opportunities. A Photographic Release form will be provided to the artist, which enables Hope to use their photographic image to create lasting memories and to promote the artwork and the work of the Studio.
  3. All artwork created within Hope Studios remains the property of Hope Studios. The Studio may choose to show it, sell it or reproduce it. Artists choosing to become Member Artists of the Studio may be eligible for revenue sharing each year, should there be profits or exceptional revenues gained within the program. Please ask for a Membership agreement if you would like to become a member. 

All participants agree to pay a materials fee. The fee is $200.00 annually (12-month period). Payment of this fee helps offset the cost of paint, wood, hardware, tools and other art supplies. This fee will be automatically renewed every year that the person decides to participate in the studio. Fees are a flat rate that can be paid all at once or in payments and is due prior to starting activities within the studio. No fees will be refunded for any reason.
