Full Lives Conference

Full Lives Conference
April 16-17, 2026

Honor the past, celebrate the present, advocate for the future

The UAA Center for Human Development's Alaska Training Cooperative, in collaboration with the State of Alaska Senior and Disability Services, the Alaska Mental Health Trust Authority, and the Stone Soup Group, is pleased to present the 25th annual Full Lives Conference for direct services professionals and care coordinators.

Hosted by the UAA Center for Human Development's Alaska Training Cooperative, in collaboration with the State of Alaska Senior and Disabilities Services, the Alaska Mental Health Trust Authority, and Stone Soup Group, Full Lives draws a wide range of attendees that provide services in developmental disabilities, behavioral health, traumatic brain injuries, substance-related disorders, and senior services. Participants may include direct support professionals, direct service providers, care coordinators, case managers, mental health clinicians, community advocates, supervisors, administrators, self-advocates, caregivers, and to a lesser degree, individuals (beneficiaries) or families receiving services.

The Full Lives Conference is designed to promote professional development through keynote presentations, breakout sessions, and workshops while highlighting best practices in disability services, advocacy, and support. It encourages collaboration among service providers, policymakers, and people with disabilities, encouraging discussions on innovative solutions such as assistive technology, employment strategies, and inclusive practices. It also serves as a platform to recognize outstanding professionals in the field through an awards ceremony.

Call for Proposals

The 25th Annual Full Lives Conference is seeking proposals for break-out sessions inspired by this year's theme: "Honor. Celebrate. Advocate.” Submissions should use evidence-based best practices to motivate and educate professionals working with Alaska Mental Health Trust Authority beneficiaries: people who need support due to behavioral health, developmental disabilities, substance misuse, Alzheimer's and related dementia, and traumatic brain injuries. Each presentation will have a 60 or 90-minute time frame. Completed proposal applications must be submitted by 5 pm on Friday, February 23, 2026.
