Services Specific to the Region:

Dog JogIn the Anchorage/South Central region Hope owns and/or leases 59 assisted living homes and two apartment clusters for semi-independent living, while supporting 46 family habilitation homes and numerous natural family homes.

People who choose supports from Hope in this region have a unique opportunity to participate in two structured recreation programs, Hope Studios and Camp Cara.  Hope Studios, which opened in 2008, is a cooperative of artists of all abilities who work on collaborative projects that can then be marketed for sale.  Camp Cara is a summer offering of weekly themed camps for all ages that promotes personal growth, while building friendships and increasing the awareness and acceptance of disabilities in the community.

Community Involvement:

Appreciation LuncheonThe Anchorage/South Central region is very active in the community in many ways.  Since its inception, Hope has benefited from the kindness and generosity of the individuals and businesses in this region.  Without the outpouring of community support in the early 70's Hope would not be what it is today.

Because of this, we are constantly encouraging those who choose our services to participate in and to give back to the community. Several non-profit agencies, such as the SPCA, Bean's Café, Anchorage Senior Center and others, benefit from the volunteer services of people choosing Hope.

The generosity of this region continues today as hundreds of people participate in our annual fundraising events, the Walk & Roll for Hope, the Hope Golf Classic and the Hope Auction as well as supporting our holiday celebration, annual appeal, endowment fund and much more.
