Hope Community Resources, Inc. (Hope) maintains an on-going commitment to do "Whatever it Takes" to assist people in maintaining their natural or community home of choice. In order to meet this goal, the following services are available in addition to those outlined under Residential Services.

Environmental Modifications - This service provides for the physical adaptations to a home that are necessary to ensure health and safety and increase independence of an individual who experiences a disability. Environmental modification needs are identified as part of a person-centered planning process and outlined in the person's Individual Service Plan.

Chore Services - This service provides assistance with housekeeping, snowplowing or other "chore" service areas where assistance is necessary to maintain an individual's home in a clean, sanitary and safe condition.

Core Services
- Core Services is a funding mechanism through the Division of Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities (DMHDD) to offer a basic package to individuals who are waiting for full service. Core services are individualized and allow fundamental supports to be provided to individuals and to families to assist in improving their quality of life during the waiting period. Goods or services purchased with Core funding should specifically address a disability related support need or issue in the individual's life. Core services are offered as a way to forestall crisis situations by providing early intervention and prevention supports. Core services are designed specifically to address the needs of individuals who have no other DMHDD funded supports and services.

OBRA - The Omnibus Reconciliation Act of 1987 (OBRA) provides an array of services to individuals living in nursing facilities who experience a developmental disability and are entitled to active treatment as defined in the OBRA legislation. Hope provides specialized services, case management and assistance in relocating from institution to community setting. Consistent with Hope's philosophy, all services are individualized and geared towards enhancing an individual's quality of life, facilitating meaningful interpersonal relationships and maximizing his or her level of independence.
