Program Highlight:

**OUR OFFICES HAVE MOVED TO 4901 E. MAYFLOWER LANE, OFF THE PALMER-WASILLA HIGHWAY**

 

The Mat-Su Region is home to the newest endeavor at Hope, the Willow “4-Paws” Ranch.  Started in 2007, the 70-acre parcel has went from a farm house and rundown outbuildings to a ranch that is home to a renovated farm house, a new duplex, a very large barn, a bunk house, an off the grid energy system, a garden, four Yaks, two horses, and several pigs, goats, turkeys, geese and chickens.  Working the land and maintaining the ranch are four guys who have chosen this type of lifestyle through Hope, along with their support staff.

 

 

 

 

 

Services Specific to the Region:

Hope owns/leases six assisted living homes and provides supports to four private family habilitation homes in this region, along with the Willow Ranch operation.

 

Because of its locale, the Mat-Su Region offers a somewhat rural setting for people, but with easy access to all the amenities of town.  It is a central location for being able to offer many opportunities for subsistence activities or to visit the ranch.  The Willow Ranch is a great place for people of all ages to enjoy connecting with nature, interacting with the animals, taking a spin on a 4-wheel or riding a snowmobile.  Hunting and fishing are also an option at the ranch.

 

 

 

 

 

Community Options:

Several of the people choosing Hope’s supports volunteer at the local food bank, the animal shelter, thrift stores and more. One support recipient uses her time to read to children at a day care. Other people have taken part in the Pay Forward Program by participating in park and parking lot clean ups.

 

In addition, many people in the Mat-Su region, along with the South Central Region, have been very involved with the development and growth of the Willow Ranch through volunteer efforts and in-kind donations. 

 

Each year the Mat-Su Valley region participates in the Virtual Walk & Roll for Hope to raise funds to support specific needs within their community.
