Kathy Proulx-Hendrickson, Deputy Director of Human Resources and Risk Management – Kathy has been with Hope Community Resources, Inc. for 25 years and began employment in October 1981.  She worked in programs for 14 years as a Director and was then promoted to Deputy Director of Human Resources and Risk Management.  She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work and a Masters Degree in Education- Adult Education with an Administration and Leadership emphasis.  She earned her Professional in Human Resources Certification in 1997.

Kaleen Haines, Director of Human Resources – Kaleen joined Hope Community Resources, Inc. in June 0f 2003 as a HR intern/individual support specialist. After graduating, Kaleen returned to the agency as a Community Support Supervisor, and later joined the HR department in 2004. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis on Human Resources, and also earned her Professional of Human Resources (PHR) certification in January 2005.

Quentin M. McCubrey, Ph.D., Director of Training and Curriculum Development – Quentin joined the Hope Community Resources, Inc. HR team in July of 2002 after a 30-year career as a public school teacher and administrator. Responsibilities at Hope include program and curriculum development for new and existing classes in the Training Department. He holds a Bachelor's, Masters, and Doctorate in Education.

Kathryn Schweisthal, Training Coordinator – Katie started at Hope Community Resources, Inc. in the spring of 2005.  Previously, she worked at an elementary school as their after-school program coordinator.  Presently, she works with Quentin to run the training department here at Hope.  Her duties include conducting trainings, working with our new employees to assist them through training, scheduling classes and instructors, and working with our supervising staff to insure that our employees are in compliance with training standards.  She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in both International Studies and German Studies from the University of Minnesota Duluth. 

Molly Simasko, Hiring Specialist – Molly began working at Hope Community Resources, Inc. in October 2005 as a Community Support Supervisor. She joined the HR Team in September 2006. Prior to working at Hope, Molly worked as an Academic Coordinator in the Freshman Seminar Program at Washington State University. She is the primary contact for manners related to direct support professional positions, this includes individual support specialist and home alliance coordinator positions.  She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication from Washington State University.

Jeri Henry, Hiring Specialist – Jeri joined Hope Community Resources, Inc. in June of 2006 as an Intern in the Human Resource Department and then returned as one of the Hiring Specialists in January of 2007 after completing a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management.  Jeri serves as the primary contact for positions other than direct support professionals.  She also is responsible for recruitment and career fairs. 

Jennifer Spells, Human Resources Assistant – Jennifer joined Hope Community Resources, Inc. in September 2004. Her primary roles as the Human Resources Assistant is to assist with records, data input, file management and classified advertising.

Shaun Tygart, Benefits Specialist – Shaun joined the HR team in September of 2006, after moving back to Anchorage the previous summer. Responsibilities at Hope Community Resources, Inc. include medical and life insurance plan administration, worker’s compensation claims, and personal leave issues. He has a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the University of Oregon, and is currently pursuing an MBA with emphasis on Compensation and Benefits from Alaska Pacific University.
 
Tami Tenbus, Human Resources Specialist – Tami joined the Hope Community Resources, Inc. HR team in January 2007.  Prior to working for Hope she worked for the United States Air Force on Ramstein Air Base, Germany as a Human Resources Assistant.  Her primary duties and responsibilities at Hope entail assuring compliance with employment laws and regulations, development and revision of personnel policies and procedures and in the planning and organization of personnel functions.  She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management from Shippensburg University. 

Lynn Bleem, Human Resources Systems Specialist – Lynn joined Hope Community Resources, Inc. in February of 2007. Prior to working at Hope, Lynn worked as a Human Resources Assistant, and as a Mental Health Worker. Presently, as the Systems Specialist, Lynn is responsible for HR audits, reports, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations. Lynn also works closely with the Research and Development Network on special projects and reports. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from University of Colorado, Colorado Springs.

Nancy Huntley, Receptionist/Net Assistant – Nancy joined Hope Community Resources, Inc. in August 2006 as an Administrative Assistant for Care Coordination.  In February 2007, she transferred to the Human Resources Department.  She is a graduate of Alaska Business College.  She has lived in Anchorage since 1970.  She supports the agency by answering phones and operating the switchboard.  She is responsible for routing mail and other communications to the Anchorage location, application data entry, and assisting Hope shareholders and visitors alike.
