HOPE ENDOWMENT FUND
A Lifetime Investment in Hope Community Resources for Alaskans who Experience a Disability

Hope Community Resources, Inc. (Hope) established its Endowment Fund in 1993 as a means of ensuring the continuance of quality community services as well as to lessen its dependency on government funding. The Hope Endowment Fund is a pool of assets held by Hope and invested to provide long-term income from interest and dividends. The principal of the endowment is never invaded. Currently, the fund's balance is over $660,000. The Hope Endowment Fund is invested in a diversified, conservative portfolio that is overseen by Hope's Board of Directors.

When the Hope Endowment Fund was created, it was stated by Hope's Board of Directors that interest and dividends would be reinvested back into Hope when the principal reached $1,000,000. With your support we can reach this goal, and provide new supports to all Alaskans who experience disabilities.

Donors can be a part of the Hope Endowment Fund by:

- Outright Contributions - Donations can consist of cash, appreciated securities, stock and/or real estate held long-term, tangible personal property held long-term, tax shelter gifts of books, gems and art pieces held long-term and ordinary income property.

- Deferred Giving - Donations can consist of bequests through a donor's will, no interest loans, annuities and trusts, job retirement plans and life insurance plans.

All donations, including gifts to the Hope Endowment Fund, have varying tax advantages to the donor. Donors should consult with a lawyer or estate planner to seek their maximum tax benefits.
