Many families who have a member that experiences a disability anguish over unanswered questions such as:
“I can no longer take care of my child by myself, but I want to keep him/her at home. Where can I get help?”
“My child is graduating from high school, what does the future hold for them?”
“How will I know my child will be safe and taken care when I die?”
“How do I know if my child is eligible for assistance? Who do I talk to?”

How We Can Help
The journey to accessing services or even just information about services is complicated and confusing. At Hope we try to minimize the stress and strain on families by providing a team of caring people that will listen, be supportive and assist families in advocating for their family member’s needs.
The Family Matters team is a wealth of knowledge for families seeking information and/or services. They acknowledge that families and individuals are the true experts in what supports they need and can assist them in connecting with community resources; brainstorming solutions to problems; navigating the social system; assisting with applications for various governmental services; providing short-term or emergency supports; determining eligibility for services and so much more.
