Hope has developed a corporate culture that is based on beliefs, values, mission, vision and expectations. This culture forms the foundation of the agency. It is the essence of who Hope is; what it is trying to accomplish; and why it exists as an agency.
Strengthening Hope's foundation is the emphasis on services that promote full lives for all stakeholders. This includes physical, social/emotional, spiritual and culturally relevant supports.
There is also an emphasis to see that all stakeholders have a shared membership in Hope. People are encouraged to participate in internal and community events, to assist with fundraising endeavors, form special interest clubs, have open houses, host dances or other fun gatherings that bring stakeholders of Hope together in an atmosphere of belonging.
As an agency, Hope’s mission is to provide services and supports that are requested and designed by individuals and families who experience disabilities that result in choice, control, family preservation and community inclusion.
Hope furthers its mission through ten agency values. These values are the focal point of everyday activities and decisions. By listening to those who choose their supports and its employees, Hope is continuously creating new and novel ways of implementing its value structure.
Individuality * Integration/Inclusion * Relationships * Choice/Preference
Security/Stability * Opportunity * Independence * Self-Advocacy * Dignity/Status * Joy
