In order to assure that agency activities are directed toward a common desired outcome (full inclusion and belonging), Hope Community Resources, Inc. (Hope) has developed a set of values that are the driving force behind all services rendered. Hope wishes to confirm, for each person receiving support as well as for each employee, that they have continuous opportunities to utilize their rights granted under the Constitution of the United States of America. These are specifically, the right to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. Hope believes that these inalienable rights should be the driving force behind any identified agency values. The following list highlights how agency values correlate with constitutional rights: Right to Life

Value of Dignity/Status
Value of Security/Stability Right to Liberty

Value of Choice/Preference
Value of Opportunity
Value of Self-advocacy
Value of Integration
Right to the Pursuit of Happiness

Value of Relationships
Value of Individuality
Value of Independence
Value of Joy These ten values identified by Hope each have desired outcomes that we utilize as a means of providing effective supports. The following list of values also identifies global outcomes that Hope will seek to implement and allow to drive its decision making process. For ease of reading and understanding, the terms people, persons or individuals are used. It is our intent that all readers understand that a child’s parent or guardian or an adult’s legal guardian will have the freedom and right to establish choices and preferences under full parameters of the law. The legal rights of parents and guardians should not in any way be reduced by these value statements.
